- By Air: The nearest airport is Tezpur Airport (Assam), about 330 km from Tawang. However, flights are limited. The major airport is Guwahati International Airport, well connected to major Indian cities. From Guwahati, taxis are available for Bomdila/Dirang/Tawang.
- By Train: The nearest major railway station is Guwahati, about 480 km from Tawang. From there, the onward journey is best done by taxi.
- By Road: The most convenient way is to hire a private taxi from Guwahati, Tezpur, or Bomdila. The journey, though long, is extremely scenic with views of valleys, waterfalls, and mountain passes.
